First Call for Proposals Program – Sustainability of Cultural Entrepreneurship
In Havana since 2022. This workshop proposal for the transformation of bullying and mistreatment behaviors among peers in children and adolescents in vulnerable communities is an educational, artistic and recreational complementary space whose main service is to provide visual arts workshops for children and adolescents.

The initiative, developed by artists Malcom Baró Munder and Naidel Herrera Rojas within the Tu Taller enterprise, is focused on the implementation of technical skills in the visual arts, from a language and level of complexity according to the age of infants and adolescents; aiming to enhance the independence of the child, as well as experimentation through teamwork and self-improvement.

With strong support from the Popular Education methodology, among other core objectives, the project seeks to provide contents that contribute to vocational orientation in sensitive stages of development such as childhood and adolescence, and also promotes an environmental culture based on the efficient use of natural resources and recyclable materials. The YAF supports the Sembrando Luces initiative through the acquisition of technical material required for its execution, as well as by providing support for the subsidization of services. It also provides methodological support and advice from CIERIC specialists.

The modalities of collaboration are flexible, as are the contributions. It is in our interest to establish co-financing agreements with entities that support operationally and/or financially, for example, specific calls for proposals. These specific actions managed by the Fondo de Arte Joven may have awards such as:

  • exhibitions in their respective art centers in Cuba and abroad.
  • donations of musical instruments and working materials for artists
  • national and international art residencies
  • publications
  • academic experiences
  • promotion
  • support for creative processes
