First and third prizes in the first edition of the malaYerba contest
Clara Massó (Havana, 1997) studied at the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts in 2017. Graduated from the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA), and is a member of the list of NFT artists at Fábrica de Arte Cubano (FAC).

She has to her credit the personal exhibition Pensamiento lateral (2017), at the Casa 8 Gallery, which constitutes her final degree thesis from San Alejandro.

In addition, she has participated in other group exhibitions such as Otra belleza amarga, at the Servando Cabrera Gallery, with the video installation Nada; En tierra de nadie (2022) at Soho House, Miami, United States. She also participated in the performance La isla invisible, by artist Shaquille Renom, at La Empírica Gallery, Granada, Spain.

With her work El ojo del amo, she received First Prize in the first edition of the malaYerba contest, organized by the Youth Art Fund (YAF). Meanwhile, Pneuma won the Third Prize in said contest.

The modalities of collaboration are flexible, as are the contributions. It is in our interest to establish co-financing agreements with entities that support operationally and/or financially, for example, specific calls for proposals. These specific actions managed by the Fondo de Arte Joven may have awards such as:

  • exhibitions in their respective art centers in Cuba and abroad.
  • donations of musical instruments and working materials for artists
  • national and international art residencies
  • publications
  • academic experiences
  • promotion
  • support for creative processes
