The impulse of the Fondo de Arte Joven to the Havana Orchestral Academy

This project, beneficiary of the call launched by the Fondo de Arte Joven (FAJ) for visual artists in 2023, gathers approximately 45 snapshots taken in the town of Bejucal, known for its history and cultural traditions.

Published in Radio 26: Camila Araujo and José Ángel Medina, piano students of the Professional School of Arts of Matanzas, lived with emotion their interpretations this Friday at the Office of the Conservator of their hometown.

Organized by the Fondo de Arte Joven and UNICEF Cuba, in the framework of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations, this event replicated for the first time outside Havana the experience of the first edition, with the musical direction of Janio Abreu, wind multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and professor, musical director of the Competition.
