Annys María Batista (Bayamo, 1989) is an instrumentalist and vocalist, graduated from the Manuel Muñoz Cedeño Vocational Art School (2008).

She has been a member of the groups Compacto, RiverJazz and the female quintet Nueva Imagen, and was also part of the ensemble of Cuban musician Raúl Torres.

She received the Grand Prize in the competitions of the Sindo Garay Cuban Song Festival (2010 and 2012), the Boleros de Oro International Youth Festival (2016) and the Adolfo Guzmán Cuban Music Contest (2019); she obtained the First Place in the Diamonds Voice competition (Berlin, 2019).

She has collaborated in the record productions of Luna Manzanares, Ivette Cepeda, Toques del Río, Luis Alberto Barbería, among others. In 2021, she was awarded the Elena Burke performing scholarship, granted by the Hermanos Saíz Association.

The Youth Art Fund (YAF) supports the development of the Live Sessions project, which consists of the recording of a live album with a total of ten tracks, with the participation of five accompanying musicians and two guest artists.
