Winners of the Second Music Call for Entries
The Espirales project was founded in 2023 by young pianist Rodrigo García and also includes violinist Tania Haase, double bassist Olivia Rodríguez, and percussionists Alejandro Aguiar and Jesús Estrada.

The quintet masterfully handles various genres and styles with diverse influences in their repertoire, clearly alluding to chamber concert music, Cuban music, jazz, and World Music.

They have extensive national and international experience, having been part of or leading various projects, which gives Espirales a unique style in the current Cuban music scene.

The Youth Art Fund (FAJ) supported the project "Espirales Music Tour United States," as one of the platform's actions in the field of academic mobility. The initiative included concerts and masterclasses by the young musicians in various cities across the country.

The modalities of collaboration are flexible, as are the contributions. It is in our interest to establish co-financing agreements with entities that support operationally and/or financially, for example, specific calls for proposals. These specific actions managed by the Fondo de Arte Joven may have awards such as:

  • exhibitions in their respective art centers in Cuba and abroad.
  • donations of musical instruments and working materials for artists
  • national and international art residencies
  • publications
  • academic experiences
  • promotion
  • support for creative processes
