Production of the album Asalto al Cielo
Histéresis is a Cuban band founded in 2017. They work mainly with progressive rock and metal, nourished by several variants of the same genre such as hard-rock, ballad, metalcore, among others.

The members of the band are Jorge Antonio Fernández Acosta (director and keyboards), Emmanuel Urquia Linares (guitar), Guillermo Mena Ronda (bass), Luis Samuel Cano Ramos (drums) and Denis José Rodríguez Zamora (vocals). In 2018 they obtained a special mention in the First Base Contest of the Havana World Music Festival, and in 2020 the creation grant El Reino de Este Mundo, awarded by the Hermanos Saíz Association, thanks to which, in 2022, they released their first album Histéresis Magnética.

The Youth Art Fund supports the production of the album Asalto al Cielo, which will be composed of eight tracks. The main genres will be progressive rock and metal, but influences from genres such as modern metal, ballads, pop, electronic music and even Cuban folk songs will also be present. This album also intends to incorporate in one of its tracks a symphonic orchestral arrangement, something innovative in the panorama of Cuban metal and young alternative music on the island.

The modalities of collaboration are flexible, as are the contributions. It is in our interest to establish co-financing agreements with entities that support operationally and/or financially, for example, specific calls for proposals. These specific actions managed by the Fondo de Arte Joven may have awards such as:

  • exhibitions in their respective art centers in Cuba and abroad.
  • donations of musical instruments and working materials for artists
  • national and international art residencies
  • publications
  • academic experiences
  • promotion
  • support for creative processes
