Gabriela Díaz Miranda (Havana, 2003) is a young violinist, graduated with a gold degree from the National School of Arts in 2017. Currently, she is a member of the group Dayron Ortiz y La Tropa, whom she has accompanied in presentations and recordings of albums, such as the CD "SER" (2022), the album "Mucho Más Que Palabras", Homenaje a Marta Valdés (2023); the soundtrack of the Documentary "La Hora Azul" dedicated to the life and work of Servando Cabrera Moreno (2023), among other singles.
He has also accompanied other musicians and groups such as El Niño y La Verdad & Osain del Monte, Telmaris, Enid Rosales and Frasis. He performed with Haydeé Milanés and her group at the Havana World Music Festival in 2022, and was part of the ensemble of musicians for the staging of the play "Aura", Raquel Carrió's theatrical version of the short novel by Carlos Fuentes, under the direction of Flora Lauten (violin) - 2023.
The Fondo de Arte Joven (FAJ) supports the recording of the album The violin in three seasonsThe program offers a new interpretation of the rich Cuban musical tradition through the instrument, with versions of Cuban songs, ranging from the early twentieth century to the early twenty-first century, through the traditional trova, the filin and the new trova. These will be exclusively adapted, taking as inspiration the Sonatas and Partitas of Johann Sebastian Bach, in order to highlight the connection between classical music and popular musical traditions.
