Yasmani Castro Caballero (Santiago de Cuba, 1992) has a degree in Education and is a fourth-year student of audiovisual communication in the profile of Direction at the Holguín branch of the University of the Arts.

He is a researcher, scriptwriter, critic, cultural promoter and audiovisual producer. Coordinates the Caribbean Film Festival. Founder of the blog 20 de octubre specializing in Cuba's artistic and literary culture. He coordinated the theoretical event of the Jazz Plaza test in Santiago de Cuba and the Peña Del canto y el tiempo at the Museo de la Música "Pablo Hernández Balaguer" in the same city. He is a contributor to Cuban cultural publications such as La Jiribilla; Claustrofobias, promociones literarias; Cuba literaria; the website of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) and the El Caimán Barbudo magazine.

The Fondo de Arte Joven (FAJ) supports the production of the audiovisual series Trovadoras y mujeres cantoras de Santiago de Cuba, with the aim of promoting the music made by the women of this Creative City of Cuba.
