Artist, author and physicist Enrique Martínez Celaya exchanged with young Cuban creators at the Salón Blanco Gallery of the Fondo de Arte Joven (FAJ). For a little more than two hours, attendees were able to approach Martínez Celaya's career, learn about the incidence of physics and art in his creations and share creative experiences.

By the way, the artist enjoyed the exhibition "malaYerba", which brings together works by a new generation of visual artists, and are the result of the first edition of the competition of the same name, launched by the FAJ in 2023. The event was also an opportunity to learn from their authors about the production and exhibition methods of young Cuban creators living on the island.

The meeting, promoted by the FAJ and the Los Carbonell Foundation (FLC), not only facilitated the rapprochement between generations of artists, but was also an opportunity to access specialized knowledge and tools to develop their professional artistic development.

A little more than a year after its foundation, the FAJ has consolidated itself as a platform for creation, reflection and debate on young art, both for new generations and for established artists, art specialists, collectors and the general public, maintaining its purpose of turning utopias into art.

These specific actions managed by the Fondo de Arte Joven may have awards such as:

  • exhibitions in their respective art centers in Cuba and abroad.
  • donations of musical instruments and working materials for artists
  • national and international art residencies
  • publications
  • academic experiences
  • promotion
  • support for creative processes
