A delegation of young musicians from the Harvard Jazz Orchestra met last week with the Fondo de Arte Joven (FAJ), in a meeting made possible thanks to the collaboration of Cuban musician Yosvany Terry, director of the orchestra and member of the jury of our platform in the music category.
During a 6-day musical adventure, young performers from here and there, joined our will to grow as an inclusive creative space - which a little more than a year after its creation - strengthens as an international cultural platform, in alliance with Cuban and international projects, institutions and artists, enhancing opportunities for professional development and cultural interactions, where shared experiences converge between young creators from Cuba and the world.
The experience was highlighted by special moments such as a Creative Exchange/Jam Session with the participation of performers from the Harvard Jazz Orchestra and a representation of the young musicians who won our call for proposals programs. The program of this visit to Cuba ended with a special concert performance by the Harvard Jazz Orchestra at the Ernesto Guevara Hall of the Casa de las Américas.
On this occasion, we were accompanied by the Tempo team, who have since joined us in our dream of continuing to turn utopias into art.
