Like a cinematic journey in retrospective, the public lived the experience of the young Cubans and Haitians who starred in the documentary "The Residence", presented by the Youth Art Found (YAF) this Sunday, March 30 at the Nave 3 of Fábrica de Arte Cubano.
Produced by i4films, this project stands out not only for its excellent audiovisual quality, but also for being the debut feature of Cuban filmmaker Zulema Samuel. This opportunity is in line with FAJ's objectives, which seek to make the talent of young female creators visible and contribute to their empowerment in the creative industries.
"La Residencia" is a collection of the experiences of photographers and musicians from Cuba and Haiti, who participated in the first Academic Residency program, launched by YAF in October 2023. This documentary, more than a visual testimony of the creativity and talent of emerging artists, celebrates collaboration and cultural exchange, despite the context of crisis, providing resources, knowledge and innovative approaches in key sectors.
YAF continues its commitment to support and make visible the work of young artists taking their first steps in the art world, with a special focus on women. Through various cultural manifestations and forms of exhibition of creative content, YAF establishes partnerships with public and private organizations and institutions, which has allowed the creation of stimuli for creation, cultural encounters and teaching.
